The Petroleum Secretaries of Pakistan and India and the Deputy Minister of Petroleum of Iran met in Tehran on 14-15 March 2006 to discuss the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project
The Petroleum Secretaries of Pakistan and India and the Deputy Minister of Petroleum of Iran met in Tehran on 14-15 March 2006 to discuss the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project. Detailed discussions were held on various technical, commercial and legal aspects including the project structure, pricing mechanism and the framework agreement.
This was the first trilateral meeting at which substantial progress has been achieved.
The next trilateral meeting will be held in Islamabad at the end of April which will consider outstanding issues and prepare agenda for the meeting of the three Petroleum Ministers to be held in held in Tehran.
