INDIAN EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER CALLS FOREIGN MINISTER QURESHI
The Foreign Minister received today a telephonic call from the External Affairs Minister of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, who extended to him felicitations on assuming the office of Foreign Minister of Pakistan. He also expressed condolences on the shahadat of Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto.
The Foreign Minister while thanking Mr. Mukherjee stressed the need and importance of peace and stability in the region for the common benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
Noting the improvement in bilateral relations and confidence building, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan was proposing dates for holding the review meetings of the fourth round of the ongoing composite dialogue between the two countries. The Foreign Minister added that he looked forward to welcoming Mr. Mukherjee to Pakistan for the review meeting.
