FOREIGN MINISTER QURESHI MEETS HIS SAUDI COUNTERPART

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, called on Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al Faisal here today.  He was accompanied by Chairman NRB, Dr. Asim Hussain and Ambassador to the Kingdom Admiral Shahid Karimullah (Retd).

During the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers discussed matters relating to the recent political and economic situation, regional and bilateral issues. The Foreign Minister briefed Prince Saud Al Faisal with regard to the current political and economic situation in Pakistan.

 Appreciating the problems facing Pakistan, Prince Saud Al Faisal assured the Foreign Minister of their continued cooperation and assistance.

Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi thanked the Saudi Government, especially King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, for his kind sentiments towards the Government and people of Pakistan.

Earlier, on his arrival the Foreign Minister was received at the airport by senior officials of the Saudi Foreign Office, officials of the Royal Protocol, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
