HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN IOK
In response to a query, the Foreign Office Spokesman expressed deep regret over yesterday's incident of use of force against demonstrators at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar resulting in injuries to dozens of people including prominent Kashmiri leader Shabbir Shah. He also expressed concern over recent instances of human rights violations in IoK and stressed the need to create an enabling environment for the success of peace process between Pakistan and India and the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
