LAUNCHING OF THE FIFTH ROUND OF PAKISTAN-INDIA COMPOSITE DIALOGUE ON 21 JULY 2008

          The Fifth Round of Pakistan-India Composite Dialogue would be launched on 21 July 2008 in New Delhi with the Foreign Secretary-level talks on the segments of 'Peace and Security including CBMs' and ' Jammu and Kashmir '.

2.       The Pakistan delegation will be headed by Mr. Salman Bashir, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan . 

3.       During the talks, both sides will look into the prospects of a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The talks will also focus on the issues of peace and security. Implementation of various conventional, nuclear and cross-LoC Confidence Building Measures will be reviewed and possible new CBMs will be discussed.

4.       The visit will also provide an opportunity for the two Foreign Secretaries to discuss other areas of bilateral cooperation.
