FOREIGN MINISTER ADDRESSES BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN UGANDA

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi was the chief guest at a dinner, last night, hosted by Mr. Iftikhar Arian, Pakistan High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda .

The Foreign Minister is in Kampala , Uganda , to attend the 35th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

Prominent among the guests were the Ugandan Ministers of State for Industry & Technology, Prof Ephraim Kamauntu, Minister of State for Trade, Industry & Tourism, Mr. Nelson Gagawala Wanbuzi and Members of the Ugandan Parliament and Mr. Al-Haji Nasser Ntege Ssebagala the Mayor of Kampala. The dinner was also attended by leading Ugandan businessmen and members of the Pakistani community.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the need to enhance bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries and highlighted the vast investment opportunities in Pakistan . He also invited the Ugandan businessmen to visit Pakistan .
