FOREIGN SECRETARY MEETS THE INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER

Pakistan has proposed to India to host a meeting in Islamabad to operationalize, as soon as possible, the cross LoC intra-Kashmir trade. The proposal was made by Foreign Secretary Mr. Salman Bashir to Indian High Commissioner Mr. Satyabrata Pal in a meeting held in the Foreign Office today. Pakistan's proposal is in pursuit of the agreement-in-principle already reached at Foreign Secretary level talks on 21 July 2008 held in New Delhi.

Foreign Secretary Mr. Salman Bashir also conveyed the readiness of AJK Chamber of Commerce to send a delegation to Srinagar at the earliest possible.
