FOREIGN MINISTER QURESHI'S MESSAGE TO CUBAN FOREIGN MINISTER  

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi sent the following message of sympathy to his Cuban counterpart over the destruction caused by hurricane Ike:-

We have been deeply grieved at the loss of precious lives and widespread destruction caused by hurricane Ike in Cuba.

On behalf of the Government of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our heartfelt sympathies and condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families and the government and people of Cuba. We have no doubt that the resilient Cuban people will brave this terrible natural calamity with strength and fortitude and recover in the shortest possible time.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
