FOREIGN MINISTER QURESHI CONDEMNS THE KIDNAPPING OF POLISH ENGINEER
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly session, condemned the kidnapping of a Polish engineer, Mr. Piotr Stanczak, near Attock yesterday. The Foreign Minister also expressed condolences with the families of Piotr Stanczak's Pakistani guard and two drivers who were killed in the incident.
2. Foreign Minister Qureshi spoke to his Polish counterpart Mr. Radoslaw Sikorski on telephone to reiterate his condemnation of the incident and assure him that the Government of Pakistan will make all possible efforts to ensure the safety and early return of engineer Piotr Stanczak to his family. Foreign Minister Qureshi said the incidents of kidnapping and violence perpetrated by extremist elements will not lessen the resolve of the Government and people of Pakistan to defeat the terrorists.
