PAKISTAN DISAPPOINTMENT ON AUNG SAN SUU KYI CONVICTION

Responding to a question about sentencing of Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, the Spokesperson said that Pakistan is disappointed that Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi has been convicted and sentenced. There has been no let up in her ordeal. We laud Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi's long struggle for democracy and hope that Myanmar authorities will release her and fulfill their commitment to holding free and fair elections.
