FOREIGN MINISTERS OF PAKISTAN AND CHINA HOLD TELEPHONE CONVERSATION

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi had a telephonic conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jeichi today. The two Foreign Ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, with particular reference to ongoing cooperation in political, economic and commercial fields. They expressed satisfaction that in recent years, Pakistan-China economic cooperation has diversified and shown a steady upward trend.

Pakistan and China are all-weather friends. Their strategic partnership serves the vital interests of both countries and is a factor of peace and stability in the region. The President's three visits to China in the past one year alone testify to the importance attached to our relations with China .

Both the Foreign Ministers vowed to further intensify bilateral cooperation in multiple fields and agreed to remain in close touch with each other.
