FOREIGN MINISTER CONDEMNS THE SUICIDE BLAST IN LAHORE  

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack in Lahore in which, among others, a renowned religious scholar, Maulana Sarfraz Naeemi, was also martyred. He said such reprehensible and cowardly acts by the enemies of Islam only strengthen our resolve to eliminate the scourge of terrorism. He prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed souls and give fortitude to the bereaved families.

The Foreign Minister added that the loss of Dr. Naeemi has left a huge vacuum which will be difficult to fill for years to come. Dr. Naeemi was a voice of moderation and always worked to promote harmony and peace. The Foreign Minister said that professor Naeemi would always be remembered for his services for Islam and Pakistan.
