Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi met Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Foreign Minister of Oman at UN Headquarters. The two leaders exchanged views on the bilateral, regional and international issues.
They expressed satisfaction on the positive trajectory of bilateral economic and trade relations and stressed the need for further expansion of cooperation in diverse fields. They noted that Pakistan and Oman Joint Economic Investment Company has played an important role in promoting closer interaction between businessmen of the two countries.
Foreign Minister Qureshi noted that more than 150,000 Pakistani expatriates were playing an important role in the development of Oman. He said that Pakistan would be happy to meet Oman's requirements for more trained manpower in all fields.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and UN Security Council reform.
