Bilateral Political Consultations were held between Pakistan and Argentina in Islamabad on 1 March 2010. The talks were led by the visiting Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Mr. Victorio Taccetti and Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Mr. Salman Bashir.

The two sides reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.

Pakistan and Argentina enjoy friendly and cooperative relations. The two sides agreed to take this relationship forward especially in the areas of Science and Technology, Information Technology, Agriculture, Bio-Technology, Food and Meat-Processing, Energy and Training in the peace- keeping field.

They also attached importance to further intensifying parliamentary linkages and high-level visits.

The two sides agreed to hold the next round of Consultations in Argentina next year.
