Ambassador of Royal Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Marut Jitpatima, presented two cheques amounting to US $ 75,000/- donated by Royal Thai Government and Rs. 86,000/- donated by the Thai Embassy, in Islamabad, for relief of flood victims to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, yesterday.
The Royal Thai Red Cross has also handed over a cheque of US $ 50,000/- to the Red Cross of Pakistan; the Thai people have donated Baht 6.2 million through a special television programme; the owner of a Thai firm located in Lahore has donated Rs.300,000/- for the flood victims and the Royal Thai Government is considering to despatch a plane load of medicines and plastic tents worth Rs. 15 million.
