PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO LIBYA  

On the invitation of the Libyan leadership, the Prime Minister of Pakistan would be paying a visit to the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya from 31 August – 2 September 2009 to participate in the 40 th Anniversary of the Al-Fateh Revolution on 1 st September 2009.

The visit signifies the importance Pakistan attaches to enhancing its bilateral ties with Libya which also currently chairs the African Union. The Programme of the visit includes meetings with the leadership of Libya and bilateral meetings with dignitaries of other participating countries.

The visit would contribute to further strengthening of relations between the two countries.
