On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency and the government and people of China on the sad loss of precious lives and destruction of property in the devastating earthquake in China's north-west Qinghai province on 14 April 2010.

Our thoughts and good wishes are with our Chinese friends at this difficult time and we are confident that under Your Excellency's able leadership the brave and resolute Chinese people will undoubtedly overcome the effects of this natural calamity.

Excellency,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the devastation and loss of life caused by the earthquake in northwest China. The government and people of Pakistan share the sorrow and grief of our Chinese brothers. I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences on this tragedy. Kindly also convey our sympathies to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones. We are confident that our resilient Chinese brothers will meet the challenges brought forth by this calamity with strength and fortitude.
