Official Visit of the Federal Minister for Defence Production to the Czech Republic (29 October to 01 November 2017)

(2017-10-29) Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production reached Prague for a three-days official visit on 29 October 2017 along with a delegation. He was received at the airport by Deputy Minister for Defence of Czech Republic Ing. Tomas Kuchta, Ambassador of Pakistan to Czech Republic Dr. Israr Hussain and Embassy officials.

This is Minister Hussain's second visit to Prague, earlier he visited Czech Republic in 2015. Pakistan and Czech Republic enjoy friendly relations which are more pronounced in the field of defence. Recently Czech companies have refurbished Brass Re-rolling Mill in Pakistan which was inaugurated by the former Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Defence Production.

The Minister while responding to speech on an official dinner said that Pakistan attaches great importance to Czech Republic as a friend and member of the EU. He hoped that the Czech Republic support will continue during the review of GSP+ status granted to Pakistan by the EU. In addition to meeting his counterparts in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence, Rana Tanveer Hussain will also visit Czech defence industries.
