PASSPORT

Pakistan nationals may apply for issuance of Passports subject to following conditions:

  • In case the validity period of their Passports is six months or less
  • All pages are exhausted due to endorsements. (Passport booklet for the remaining validity period of the current Passport will be issued)
  • In case of loss of passport a new passport up to the validity of the lost passport will be issued

Documents required:

  • Completely filled in passport application forms
  • Four recent photographs (with light blue background)
  • Original and photocopy (first two pages) of current passport
  • Original and photocopy of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)
  • Residence Permit / Valid visa for China
  • In case of loss of Passport the Police report in original has to be presented and a copy is to be attached with the application.

Please note:

  • A limited validity passport would be issued in the following cases:

1. In lieu of lost passport not issued by this Consulate. Confirmation would be obtained from the original passport issuing authority upon receipt of which the passport could be extended to the full remaining validity of the lost passport

2. In case original CNIC or NICOP is not available, limited validity passport would be issued. Upon production of original CNIC / NICOP, the passport could be extended up to five years calculated from the date of issue of the same.

  • The Consulate issues Manual Passports only, having validly of five years, as per the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (IMPASS), Ministry of Interior,direction.



Passport Fee:

  • Ordinary 1st time loss of Passport- Double fee
  • Ordinary 2nd time loss of Passport- Quadruple fee
  • In case of Third time loss the passport would not be issued. An emergency document with limited validity will be issued for return to Pakistan under intimation to Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (IMPASS), Ministry of Interior.

Visa for Chinese nationals:


  • No Visa Fee is charged from Chinese Nationals for any type of visa
  • Holders of Diplomatic and Official/ Service Passports of the People's Republic of China do not require visa for visit and stay in Pakistan for up to one month.


GENERAL TO ALL VISA APPLICANTS

  • Passports are not accepted by parcel/ post. The Consulate does not take any responsibility of loss of passport in transit/parcel
  • Passport should be valid for at least six more months
  • Please give details of sponsor/ invitation letter received from Pakistan. Inviting Pakistan companies are desired to have General Sales Tax (GST) numbers and registration with Chamber of Commerce and Industry for verification.



Business Visa

  • Printed copy of online visa application
  • Copies of Passport and Identity Card
  • Two recent passport size photographs(1x1 inch)
  • Invitation Letter from Pakistani company
  • Recommendation Letter from the relevant Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan company
  • Dispatch letter from Chinese Company, Chamber of Commerce letter, Bank statement of individual / company.

Visit Visa


  • Completely online filled in Visa Application Form onlineat www.pakbj.org.pk/VisaApplication
  • Copies of Passport and Identity Card

  • Two recent passport size photographs(1x1 inch)

  • Invitation letter/ Affidavit (along with copy of identity card, passport) from Pakistan side.



Family Visit Visa

  • Completely filled in online Visa Application Format www.pakbj.org.pk/VisaApplication
  • Copies of Passport and Identity Card
  • Two recent photographs (1x1 inch)
  • Invitation letter from relative in Pakistan
  • Copy of Passport of the relative in Pakistan
  • Copy of marriage certificate/ family registration documentor documents showing relationship. Applicant’s family includes spouse, son, daughter, father and mother.



Tourist Visa

  • Completely filled in Visa Application Form
  • Copies of Passport and Identity Card
  • Two recent photographs (1x1 inch)
  • Confirmation of Hotel Booking, Bank Statement, Business/ Employment details and certificate.



Study Visa

  • Completely filled in Visa Application Form
  • Copies of Passport and Identity Card
  • Two recent photographs(1x1 inch)
  • NOC from Ministry of Interior of Pakistan
  • Admission letter from the academic institution/university in Pakistan
  • Letter from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan
  • Evidence of financial support for studies in Pakistan
  • In case of Muslim students recommendation letter from China Islamic Association. Please note that student visa needs confirmation from Islamabad and hence process takes minimum about 1-2 months; therefore, applicants should apply in advance



Visa Application by Nationals of Other Countries:

  • Visas cannot be issued to Third Country nationals not in possession of the resident / work permit of China
  • Residence and Work permit (original and photocopy)
  • Visa Fee as applicable according to the Nationality of the applicant
  • The applicant must have a viable reason to visit and invitation letter

 
 
 
Attestation of Documents


  •  General Regulation


All documents issued from Pakistan should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or its Camp Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.

Documents issued from China should be attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or Provincial Foreign Affairs Office.
 

  • Unmarried Certificate


Unmarried Certificate issued by Union Council/Municipal Ward from where the applicant hails in Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, or its Camp Offices.
 
Affidavit from the parents/family of the applicant stating his/her marital status,attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, or its Camp Offices.
The Consulate does not issue any such certificates on its own and only counter-attests certificates/Affidavits already attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan

  • Attestation of Educational Degree (s)/ Certificate (s) Awarded by Chinese Educational Institutions


The Degree should be attested by an authorized Notary and by Provincial Foreign Affairs Office or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

  • Attestation of Educational Degree (s)/ Certificate (s) Awarded by Pakistani Educational Institutions

i. Up to Matric/ F.A/ F.Sc, the documents should be attested by Inter-Board Committee and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad/ Camp Offices
ii. Degrees should be attested by HEC and  Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad/ Camp Offices



Birth Registration

For birth registration of Pakistani children born in China the following documents are required:

  • Completely filled in birth registration form (can be downloaded at www.pakbj.org.pk)
  • Original and copy of Birth Certificate from relevant Chinese authorities

  • Two photographs (1x1 inch)

  • Photocopy of mother and father's passports and National Identity Cards.



NICOP

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is now a mandatory requirement for all Pakistanis working/residing abroad and Pakistanis holding dual nationality. NICOP offers unique privileges and facilities to its holder. This card is obligatory for all members of the family, including children under the age of 18 years.
Requirements for New NICOP are given on the application form(http://www.nadra.gov.pk/index.php/products/cards/nicop)
 

  • New NICOP Fee: $45+20% if applying from Embassy/ Consulate aboard
  • NICOP Modification (Change)/ Reprint (Duplicate)/ Renewal Fee: $50+20% if applying from Embassy/ Consulate aboard

  • Cancellation of NICOP Fee: $200+20% if applying from Embassy/ Consulate aboard
