Kashmir Black Day

(2017-11-14) The Embassy of Pakistan, Jakarta, in collaboration with Kashmir Solidarity Forum Indonesia observed Kashmir Black Day at STIAMI University, Jakarta on14 November 2017. A number of Indonesian academicians, scholars, intellectuals, leading journalists, as well as Indonesian students and members of the Pakistani community attended the event.

Ambassador Aqil Nadeem addressed audience and expressed support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people struggling to achieve their right of self-determination. He highlighted India's illegal occupation of Jammu & Kashmir and worst brutalities being carried against people of Kashmir by Indian forces.

Chairman, Kashmir Solidarity Forum, Indonesia, Dr. Zahir Khan informed the audience about historical background of the Kashmir dispute. He said that the brutal use of force by the Indian occupation forces has failed to suppress the indigenous struggle of the Kashmiri people aspiring for their right of self-determination. The Vice Rector of STIAMI University also spoke about the plight of Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir. The session was followed by a lively Question and Answer session.
