On September 1, Pakistan Foreign Office Women's Association held its annual Education Ceremony at the Ministry premises in which over 113 children of the Foreign Office staff were given prizes and twenty six children were awarded scholarships for their academic achievements. Parents, PFOWA's Executive Committee, guests and some Senior Officers attended this function. Also invited for this ceremony was Dr. Tanvir Kayani, DG, (CA&CADD).

The event opened with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the introduction of Co-Secretary Jannat Begum. Speeches were given by President Pakistan Foreign Office Women's Association Mrs. Najia Aizaz Ahmad, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Education Secretary Mrs. Lyla Gardezi and the Chief Guest Minister Capital Administration and Development Division Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, who in his speech appreciated the efforts made by Pakistan Foreign Office Women's Association on education.

The National Anthem of Pakistan was played on guitar by Zahra Gardezi and participating children sang in choir. This was followed by skits, tableaus and a national song. Two students delivered speeches on hope and importance of Education, followed by distribution of prizes to high-achievers. Afterwards the Chief Guest was invited to tea in the library, along with the PFOWA Executive Committee and Officers of the Ministry.
