Relations between Pakistan and Brazil are cordial, founded on mutual respect and understanding, and characterized by collaboration in the UN and other international arenas. The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1948.

Since its inception in 1948, the Embassy of Pakistan in Brazil has effectively safeguarded Pakistan's core national interests and stance on regional and international matters, while also promoting Pakistan's trade, economic potential, and tourism. Brazil has shown support for Pakistan's positions on issues such as the Kashmir cause, engagement with Mercosur, counterterrorism, transnational crimes, and candidacies at international forums. Brazil voted in favor of Pakistan in the election for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council in June, 2024.

In 2023, the bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Brazil surpassed $1.6 billion. Significantly, Pakistan's exports to Brazil exceeded $100 million for the first time in history, reaching $110 million.
