Born in 1971 in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Holds degrees of Masters in English (Peshawar University) and M.Sc (International Relations) from London School of Economics, London.

Joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1996.

Served at Headquarters as Desk Officer, US (1998-2001) and Director India (2004-2007) in Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Served as Director on deputation with President Secretariat (2014-2015) and Director, Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad (2015).

Held diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad: New York (2001-2004), New Delhi (2007-2011), Riyadh (2011-2014) and Stockholm (2016-2021).

Served as Ambassador to Turkmenistan for 2021-2024.

Served as Director General (Europe-I) in Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2024-2026).

He is married with three children.
